This policy provides details on how we process your personal data that we collect through our websites and/or web applications.

This policy does not cover how we process data of the members of our membership groups, participants of our webinars and courses, and customers who purchased products or services from any of our stores.
How we process above mentioned data is covered in our Legal Documents Section on the Tree of Life Quest main website. 

We are very aware that we are processing confidential data and that is why we manage the data we collect from you in the same manner that we would want other businesses to manage ours.

The website Lubo, Coach is a part of the web ecosystem operated and managed by the Tree of Life Quest Ltd.

We collect data in order to provide better services to all users. Data collection takes place in the following ways:

When you fill out a form on our website and submit it or when you apply for our services, we ask you to provide personal details, such as your name, email address and phone number. We use this information to provide our services. The data is stored on secured servers owned by Tree of Life Quest Ltd. or by a third party (with whom we have a data processing agreement).

3. How we use collected data

We also use this data to offer you personalized content, such as relevant content on our website and in our emails and advertisements, in order to improve the overall quality of our services.

Personal data is not made public or shared with third parties, except for the purpose of data storage on servers owned by third parties. We have made data processing agreements with these third parties to ensure the security of your data. We always ask your permission before using your data for any purpose other than the ones described in this Privacy Policy.

Below you will find additional information about the software we use on our website and applications, and how this software could make use of your data:

Google Analytics / Universal Analytics

  • We use Google Analytics to analyse the traffic to our websites and the Tree of Life Quest application. We have not given Google permission to use the information acquired through analytics for other purposes. The following data-sharing settings in our Google Analytics account have explicitly been disabled:
    • Google products and services
    • Benchmarking
    • Technical support
    • Account specialists
  • The information collected by Google is anonymized as much as possible. This includes enabling the option IP Anonymization in our Google Analytics account.
  • The collected information is transferred to and saved by Google on servers in the United States. Google states that it is compliant with the GDPR and EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks.
  • Our website and application use Google Analytics as well to serve (remarketing) advertisements in the Google Display Network.
  • Additionally, our Google Analytics account collects demographics and interests data from the Third-party DoubleClick cookie (if present ).

MailPoet newsletter & emails

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, registered for our restricted access content (such as webinars) or if you are a member on any of our Websites (you can log in) or if you have purchased on our website, you will receive email communication from us.

We will only send you emails which you have signed up to receive, or which pertain to the services we provided to you. You can unsubscribe from any communication by using the link provided in each email.

To send you emails, we use the name and email address you provide us. Our site also logs the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent abuse of the system.

This website can send emails through the MailPoet Sending Service. This service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters.

No identifiable information is otherwise tracked outside this website except for the email address.

  • We use MailPoet as a medium for communication via email. When you have signed up for our mailing, your e-mail address and your name will be saved in MailPoet. We do not share this information with third parties and we do not use it for other purposes.
  • You will continue to receive the mail from MailPoet as long as you give permission for this. Under each email there is the option to unsubscribe. If you want us to remove your email address and name from MailPoet, please contact us.
  • Enrichment – MailPoet uses an open pixel. We use this information to analyse the sent mail. Data that we analyse are, for example, how often an email is opened and which article is clicked on.
  • The information collected is transferred to and stored by MailPoet on servers in the Germany and Finland. MailPoet claims to adhere to the GDPR and EU-US Privacy Shield principle and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield principle.

Social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube

  • Our websites contain buttons that can be used to easily share pages and articles on social networks, such as LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), X (Twitter), and YouTube.
  • The code used for these buttons comes from LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), X (Twitter) and YouTube. These codes usually adds a cookie (see Cookie Policy). More information on how the collected data is processed by these social media can be found in their privacy statements: LinkedInMeta (Facebook and Instagram)X (Twitter) and YouTube.

4. The options we offer. For example, how you can open and edit data

We offer everybody who created an account on our websites the possibility to consult, edit or delete personal information that has been provided to us. That way you can always view, edit and/or delete your Tree of Life Quest profile in our request for inspection portal. Through the same portal you can also send us a general request for inspection. By doing so, you request that we give you access to all your personal information that we have saved in all of our systems, such as our customer relationship, marketing and administrative system.

Please understand that, given the number of systems that need to be checked, processing a general request for inspection may take some time. We strive to respond to your request within 20 business days.

Option: Do not track / opt-out Google Analytics

You can opt out of Google Analytics Display ads and/or change your settings here. We would also like to point you to the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on that you can use to prevent your data from being collected and used by Google Analytics.

5. Data we share

We do not share personal details with companies, organizations and individuals outside of Tree of Life Quest, except in the following circumstances:

  • With your permission – We share personal data with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Tree of Life Quest if you have given us permission to do so.
  • For external processing – We provide personal data to our partners or other trusted companies or individuals, so they can process the data for us, based on our instructions and conforming to our Privacy Statement and other relevant confidentiality and security measures.
  • For legal reasons – We share personal data with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Tree of Life Quest if we believe in good faith that access, use, maintenance or publication of the data is reasonably required. For example, in order to comply with relevant laws and regulations, legal procedures or appropriate requests from government bodies.

If Tree of Life Quest Ltd. is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, we will continue to safeguard personal data and inform the users concerned before personal data are transferred or subjected to a different privacy statement.

6. Data protection

We work hard to protect Tree of Life Quest and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized editing, publication or destruction of data that are stored by us. In particular the following apply:

  • All services are coded with SSL.
  • We evaluate our practices regarding the collection, storage and processing of data, including physical security measures, as protection against unauthorized access to systems.
  • We limit the access to personal data for Tree of Life Quest employees, contractors and agents who need this data in order to process them for us. These persons are subjected to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be penalized or dismissed should they fail to meet these obligations.
  • Tree of Life Quest servers are housed at data centres that are located exclusively in the UK. Tree of Life Quest makes use of data centres of Krystal.io.

When this Privacy Policy is applicable

Our Privacy Policy applies to the Service and all services that are offered by Tree of Life Quest, but not to services with a separate privacy statement in which this Privacy Statement is not included.

Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services that are supplied by other companies or individuals. Our Privacy Policy does not cover the data policy of other companies and organizations.

Changes

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. All changes to the Privacy Policy are published on this page and, if changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (for example by email). We also save previous versions of this Privacy Policy.

Right to object

If you do not agree with the manner in which we process your personal data and we cannot sort the matter out between us, it is possible to lodge a complaint with your local GDPR supervisory authority.

7. Other Provisions

Comments

When visitors leave comments on our Websites we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
